Friendship is a type of relationship between two people who care about each other. Life can not be carried out without some kind of connection to somebody who almost shares the same set of principles and beliefs with you. In other words, friendship can only be possible if the people involved in that relationship have and share the same value. You will find it hard to align yourself with somebody who sees the absolute opposite of all what you may believe in. For instance if you are not criminal, you will not stay closed to somebody who kills. That is why to avoid conflicts of all sort, the people involved in the friendship should find similar points in order to link to one another.
Many qualities are necessary for a good friendship, including honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and unconditional acceptance. A friendship should make both people in the relationship happy; both people should have fun when they spend time together. To be perfectly frank, that's a tall order. Human beings can clash very easily, which is why it's hard for some people to maintain many friendships. It's possible that friendship can exist between two people at one stage of life, but life changes and personal growth may make friendship impossible at another stage. It can be hard to meet the people who would make the perfect friend.
