Vuvuzelas, a legacy left from 2010 Soccer World Cup

http://www.roadto2010.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/APN306885.jpg
FIFA 2010 World Cup was for the first time hosted in the African soil. South Africa, the host country, incorporated a wonderful innovation in the history of football, which is the use of vuvuzelas by soccer’ supporters/fans.

Tourists who came to support their teams in South Africa enjoyed every moment of their stay. As most claimed they have never seen such a vibe in previous Soccer World Cup tournaments.

It has been seen in so many countries already, people were blowing vuvuzelas and it was estimated that this new football culture would last for so many years to come, as supporters and players themselves seemed to enjoy the use of vuvuzelas, which really connected them in the success of the tournament.

The use of Vuvuzelas is indeed one of most legacies left from the first African FIFA World Cup.

How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

To stand out, one needs to distinguish from the crowd. Here begins the ideal of any successful achievement in life. Simply as it may seem, the true remains that for being noticed one has to undertake a step: stand and yet set oneself apart from the crowd.

This action implies that one shall make choices that are necessary for the starting point of any move. Whether you decide to stand out or not to, it is important to understand that you are still making a choice!

We should be able to look beyond what is expected and bring the special gift that God has granted each of us: uniqueness. By the time you understand that you are an absolutely unique person in everything that you can do, you then start activating the genius that lies in you.

Therefore “stepping out from the top of a 100 foot pole”, suggests that you discover your true identity, the champion identity. And then like a sunrise that keeps shining, you affect your surroundings and bring your special gift to light.

We are what we do

By Renestine I.P
There is a popular maxim that says “habit is a second nature”. By meaning that we clearly understand that as individuals, we have the capacity to be what we usually do instinctively.

This is a very profound statement that should build each and everyone personality in a way that figures out what lies within each of us.

Also it should awake our senses, in order to adopt the appropriate attitude towards what we really wish to achieve in life.

In fact, the theory of law of attraction is self explained in that process. The way you carry yourself in life, your personal beliefs and how you project yourself characterise what you can become sooner or at a later stage. That is the reason why people should be more conscious of what become their habit, as these habits end up being their nature…

The joy of a baby

Babies are angels. They come to the world with an absolute essence of total innocence. They are pure hearts and need our complete attention and care. Babies are symbols of love, joy and happiness. Like angels, they bring a new breathe into our lives. In fact, babies speak their own language. They do not need to talk to spread messages. Their language is effective to pure souls. They exhale in emotions that deeply touch our heart. The heart is then an important focus that babies look at. They express feelings that can only be understood by prepared and disposed hearts. They need the appropriate environment to growth and communicate effectively.

When the fire burns...

http://arghus.deviantart.com/art/Fire-heart-129852299

Fire is a natural essence that has so many variations. We all need fire at certain stages of our life. In fact, fire allows us to move forward.

In that instance, fire is the strong passion and determination that drives us towards what we thought was impossible. When the fire burns in you, there is no longer fear as you become inspired with enthusiasm or zeal, to face the challenges that you encounter.

Fire also represents life duality, the wrong and right thing to do in specific times. So, it depends on you to choose whether or not that fire should burn towards reaching the right or the wrong thing. The most important is to understand that we all have the fire magic in us. So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!” James 3:5

We are afraid of the wrong things

As we all came into existence, the eldest instruct us on the good and bad things. We then grow up with that conscious note of the wrongness or rightness of things in our environment.

Life experiment will then present us various schemas that we are not always familiar with. Through these different schemas we learn to face the challenges that take place. The truth is that we as human beings tend to attach a great value to the “good things” which happens to be more rewarding than the “bad things”.

Here, comes the strong point of what can be seen as good or what is bad. The true in itself lies on fear. Fear is one of the most basic survival instincts that any being possesses. It is a feeling that is brought about by a perceived threat.

All about the Capoeira passion!

http://www.capoeira.htmlplanet.com/capoeira_hist.htm
As in the USA, there was also slavery in Brazil. The slaves were put to work in the plantations where sugar and tobacco were the main crops and the demand for slave labor was great. During the history of the slave trade, it is estimated that more than two million slaves were brought to Brazil from Africa.
These slaves came from different regions of Africa and thus had different cultures. They were distributed in three main ports: Bahia, Recife, and Rio de Janeiro.

Through the their work in champs , the slaves were continuously developing different form of movement to express themselves. Capoeira is a form of dance martial art that finds its root in the Afro-Brazilian Slave Culture. It has been imported by slaves who masked their martial practice from the slave’s owners by adding music and singing. It is a precise body move deployment that requires a certain balance, agility, rhythm and extreme control.

Fish falling from the sky...

                                                                  boingboing.net
Fish falling from the sky is the imaginary thinking of a new type of rain coming down to earth. The world in which we live presents us so many phenomenons that find their roots in the origin of creation, the nature, which is God.
Fishes are also considered to be symbols of Christian faith. It may sound so weird to imagine a rain of fish, but the truth remains that life in itself is a mystery. So the humanity can not at this particular stage pretend to have explored or experienced all the inexplicable aspects that the nature is continuously revealing. Fishes are aquatic animals that swim within oceans and seas and all sort of living water and make that particular place, their royal destination.
It is said that during the persecution of the early church, during a Christian meeting someone new would draw a single arc in the sand. If the other person was a Christian, he or she would complete the drawing of a fish with a second arc. If the second person was not a Christian, the ambiguity of the half-symbol would not reveal the first person as a Christian.
That is to say that, fish that fall from the sky can be seen as strong sign for a great Christian revival…

What is the colour of the wind?

Technically, the wind or air may not seem like anything at all; in fact, we look right through it all the time, but during a windstorm, air really makes its presence known. Wind is able to lift roofs off buildings, blow down power lines and trees, and cause highway accidents as gusts push around cars and trucks.
Speaking about the color of the wind. it is obvious that on the material aspect, the wind does not have any color at all. The wind is a natural phenomenon that forms an entire part of our life. We live with it, and we die in it. In other words we move through it along the journey of life.

Considering it at a more  spiritual level, the wind is part of all the experiences or schemas we encounter on a daily basis. From that point of view the wind takes the colour that one decides to give according to the sensibility, or enthusiasm that one may possess in order to reach a partiular objective.
Thus, at a physical level, the wind can blow so strong and push you anywhere and anyhow, but when it comes to your spiritual strengh, you can decide and you have the power to do so; where you want it to blow!

So what is the colour of your wind...

What about friendship ?

By Renestine IP

Friendship is a type of relationship between two people who care about each other. Life can not be carried out without some kind of connection to somebody who almost shares the same set of principles and beliefs with you. In other words, friendship can only be possible if the people involved in that relationship have and share the same value. You will find it hard to align yourself with somebody who sees the absolute opposite of all what you may believe in. For instance if you are not criminal, you will not stay closed to somebody who kills. That is why to avoid conflicts of all sort, the people involved in the friendship should find similar points in order to link to one another.

Many qualities are necessary for a good friendship, including honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and unconditional acceptance. A friendship should make both people in the relationship happy; both people should have fun when they spend time together. To be perfectly frank, that's a tall order. Human beings can clash very easily, which is why it's hard for some people to maintain many friendships. It's possible that friendship can exist between two people at one stage of life, but life changes and personal growth may make friendship impossible at another stage. It can be hard to meet the people who would make the perfect friend.
